One Man’s Waste Is Another Man’s Trophy

We’ve finally reached one of the biggest sporting events of the year and I could not be more excited. The sporting event that brings out the rowdiest fans in the game. The Waste Management Open… Oh wait, did you think I meant the Super Bowl? Let’s be honest, the Patriots aren’t in it so who really cares?

This weekend’s tournament is arguably the best event on the PGA Tour outside of the Majors or The Player’s Championship. But one thing is for sure, it is definitely the loudest.

If you’re not familiar with golf, usually the craziest one would get would only be after a hole-in-one. But this week is so much better. It’s all about how loud you can make the crowd. The usual golf etiquette is thrown out the door.

On the 16th tee at TPC Scottsdale, you are surrounded by a mini stadium with thousands of fans ready to cheer for a birdie or boo you off the course with a bogey.

This tournament also is one of my favorites due to the fact that I was lucky enough to play there with my Dad a couple summers ago. If you look close enough, my profile pictures are from the best day of my life. Amelia, if you’re reading this, the day we got engaged was pretty cool too.

So if you plan on watching the greatest sporting event this weekend like I do, make sure you get loud when your favorite player sticks it close or your least favorite player shanks it into the stands. You’re allowed to let loose this time.

Thank you!
